Why This Structure Passes ATS Scanners
Modern Applicant Tracking Systems such as Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, and Taleo do not evaluate resumes as visual art. Instead, their ingestion pipelines deserialize the underlying PDF glyph stream into a continuous linear text buffer before feeding normalized tokens into Named Entity Recognition (NER) models.
When candidate resumes use multi-column designs, parsers frequently read horizontally across column boundaries, interleaving unrelated job titles with sidebar skill tags into garbled sentences that break parser scoring. This template maintains a deterministic single-column architecture with universal section headings like Professional Summary, Work Experience, and Education. We deliberately exclude graphic skill meters, canvas stars, progress bars, and nested tables, ensuring OCR extractors and search parsers never drop your credentials.
